A FAIR SHARE OF EXTRA POLICE

The government have recruited extra police, but the Mayor isn't giving Barnet our fair share.

The London Borough of Barnet is one of the largest London boroughs and one of the largest net contributors to the Metropolitan police budget, in the year 2021/2022 we received fewer police officers than Camden, Enfield and Haringey whilst paying more. The Mayor has hiked up his precept this year but we are still seeing our residents in places like Brockley Hill having to pay for security because the Mayor is failing to protect our towns and suburbs.

We will also continue to grant the Community Security Trust (CST) £14 million to help keep members of the Jewish community safe in their daily lives.

So while the Mayor focuses on Central London, we’re working with local communities to cut crime in Barnet.
